About Ninja Vocab

Ninja Vocab - Practice, Repeat, Refine

The Ninja Vocab ethos is Practice, Repeat & Refine…

Practice

It is very important for a child to practice English ideally every day. That could be to learn a new word, or to figure out a better way to explain something complicated. Even during a holiday a ninja will exercise to keep their muscles and movements fast and nimble.

Repeat

A child should write and use new words until it becomes second nature. For example, to build a set of favourite words to be used in any essay.

A ninja does not learn a kick then hope to remember it for future use. Once learnt, a ninja will repeat that kick over and over again until it becomes second nature.

Refine

A child should aim to improve their vocab and comprehension skills. For example, refining how clearly they can explain an answer in an English paper.

A ninja does not tolerate a sloppy kick. Once learnt, a ninja will seek to refine even the smallest of details.
